Main Round Match Dashboard

This dashboard shows school eligibility requirements for applying to New Orleans Public Schools, how each school prioritizes groups of applicants, and the Main Round results data from the 2024 - 2025 application. Click each red button below to view information in each category. A drop down box will appear. Click into the box and start typing the name of the school you would like to view. Within each category, school names are displayed by grade. The grade appears at the end of the school name in the menu.

Example: A Test School - 1 displays data for first grade for A Test School. If a school or grade is new and was not included in the 2024 - 2025 Main Round, it will not be searchable.

For questions, please visit our Help Desk and submit a request. Select the category "K-12" and the topic "Main Round Match Dashboard question." This short video explains how best to use this tool:

Main Round Results data for two schools with tiered admissions systems, Lake Forest Charter School and The Willow School, have different categories of data to report so these schools are displayed separately on the drop-down menu. The Willow School has three applicant pools, so it has three listings - one for each pool.

Some schools have additional priorities, referred to as school-specific priorities. These priorities are detailed below.

Audubon Uptown French Applicants currently enrolled in or who during the previous school year attended an accredited French school or French immersion school receive priority to Audubon Uptown French program. French programs must be accredited by the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE).
Audubon Uptown Montessori Applicants currently attending or who during the previous school year attended an accredited Montessori program receive priority to Audubon Uptown Montessori School.
Hynes UNO Applicants who are children of full-time University of New Orleans employees receive priority to Hynes – UNO and Hynes – UNO French.
The Willow School Applicants who are children of full-time Tulane employees, full-time graduate students, and full-time professional students receive priority to The Willow School.

See the key below the graph for more information on each category.

The Willow School divides applicants into three groups to provide multiple chances for students to get a seat. Here’s how it works:

Tulane-Affiliated Applicants are considered first in the Tulane pool. Up to 45% of available seats are reserved for Tulane-Affiliated Applicants. Any unfilled seats in the Tulane pool are allocated to Community applicants.

Applicants who do not qualify for Tulane Priority are considered first in the Community pool. A minimum of 45% of seats are reserved for Community applicants. Typically, more than 45% of available seats are filled by Community applicants.

If there are no seats left in the Tulane and Community pools, and the applicant also qualifies as Economically Disadvantaged, they will then be considered in the Economically Disadvantaged pool. 10% of available seats are reserved for Economically Disadvantaged applicants. Since applicants who qualify for the Economically Disadvantaged priority are first considered in the Community and Tulane groups, these seats will not be filled until the Community and Tulane seats are filled. If all eligible applicants are accepted as a part of the Community and Tulane groups, no students will be accepted as part of the Economically Disadvantaged group.

Category Definition
Total Seats Offered Total number of seats a school offers at a grade level during Main Round.
Guaranteed Seats The number of students in the previous grade who continued into the next grade offered at the school. Grades that are the first to be offered at a school (such as Kindergarten or 9th grade in some cases) will not have guaranteed seats.
Economically Disadvantaged Applicants defined by LDOE receive priority for a designated percentage of available seats at certain schools. Learn more here: Guidance - NSLP - ED and CEP Options.
Half Mile Applicants who live within a half mile of the school site receive priority for a percentage of available seats at certain schools, typically 25%.
Closing School Applicants currently in grade K-7 and grade 9-11 who do not have a guarantee for the upcoming school year due to the closure of an OPSB charter or direct-run school. When closing school priority is in effect, it is the highest priority, ranked above sibling and geographic priority.
Feeder Applicants who attend an elementary feeder school that is linked to a high school, such as in the same network, receive priority to attend 9th grade at that school. This differs from guaranteed seats and rising 8th graders must apply.
Geographic Zone Applicants who live within the school's geographic zone receive priority for a percentage of available seats at certain schools, typically 50%.
IEP In some cases, Type 2 schools are directed by the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) to grant priority for applicants who have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). The percentage of those designated to receive this priority is determined by LDOE and can change from year to year.
Military Priority Applicants who are dependents of U.S. Military and Department of Defense personnel receive priority to New Orleans Military and Maritime Academy (NOMMA).
No Priority Applicants who were placed in the match without priority status.
School-Specific Priorities that apply to only one or a few schools. May include French, Montessori, or UNO staff.
Sibling Priority that applies to applicants who have a sibling enrolled in a non-terminal grade at certain schools.
Twin During Main Round, if one child of a multiple birth event (such as twins) gets placed at a school they applied to, the other multiples/twin will also be assigned if they applied to the same schools in the same order, and met all eligibility criteria (if applicable). Multiples/twins may be enrolled over capacity.
Assigned Total Total number of students placed at a school for a given grade, including guaranteed seats (where applicable) and new Main Round placements.
Ineligible Total Applicants who did not meet the eligibility criteria at certain schools and were not placed.
Not Placed Eligible applicants who were not placed at a certain school in the match. For schools with eligibility criteria, students who were not placed were assigned to a waiting list.
Not Placed Family Link Rejection Eligible applicants who were not placed at a certain school due to selecting Family Link on the application, thereby prioritizing being placed with siblings at other schools. For schools with eligibility criteria, students who were not placed were assigned to a waiting list.
Eligible Applicants who met the eligibility criteria at certain schools and were either placed at the school, or placed on the waiting list.
Waiting List Applicants who met the eligibility criteria at certain schools and were not placed during Main Round, but added to a waiting list. Waiting lists are only offered at schools with Eligibility Criteria. For more information, visit https://enrollnolaps.com/eligibilityschools.
